Accessibility Statement

We target Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA.

This site is fully conformant with WCAG 2.2 Level AA. Every applicable Level A and AA success criterion has been evaluated against the pages listed below, and the ones that failed have been fixed. Criteria that cannot apply here — there is no audio, no video, no timed interaction and no login — are recorded as not applicable rather than quietly counted as passes.

This claim applies to the pages we author and control at digitallotusdev.com: the home page, AI Engineering and its terms glossary, How It Works, Projects, and the privacy, cookie, terms, disclaimer, and accessibility pages.

Two things sit outside that scope, and are excluded rather than claimed:

• Project demos. The two experiments linked from our projects page — /recipe-generator/ and /night-line/ — are separate applications that happen to be served from this domain. They are self-directed builds and they are deliberately excluded from this claim rather than overlooked.
• Third-party services. Our booking page, partner profiles, and code repositories are operated by other companies. Their accessibility is theirs to determine and ours to weigh when choosing who to work with.

By self-evaluation, in August and September 2026, finishing with a screen reader pass. That means no independent third party has verified this claim. An external audit is not a WCAG requirement — conformance is a property of the content, not of who checked it — but it is evidence that we have taken accessibility seriously and that we have made best efforts to be conformant.

• Structured every page with semantic HTML landmarks — header, navigation, main, and footer — so screen readers can move through the page by region.
• Added a “skip to main content” link as the first tab stop, so keyboard users can bypass the navigation.
• Given the small-screen menu the same links as the desktop navigation, opened by a labelled control that reports its state, closes on Escape, and returns focus where it came from.
• Given every form field a visible, programmatically associated label. Nothing relies on placeholder text alone.
• Made form errors and the send confirmation announce themselves to screen readers, and moved keyboard focus to the confirmation after a message is sent.
• Made the process accordion fully keyboard operable, with its expanded state and its content panel exposed to assistive technology.
• Marked purely decorative illustrations as decorative, so they are skipped rather than read aloud.
• Written descriptive alternative text for images that carry meaning, including project screenshots.
• Checked every text and background pairing against the Level AA contrast requirement. All of it passes; the lowest ratio measured anywhere is 5.6:1, against a 4.5:1 requirement.
• Kept a single, consistent, visible focus indicator throughout, and left the page usable at 200% zoom and on small screens.
• Honored the operating system's reduced-motion setting, so animation and transitions are suppressed for anyone who has asked for that.
• Avoided anything that autoplays, moves on its own, flashes, or traps focus. There is no cookie banner or interstitial obstructing the content.
• Compiled typefaces into the site so no third-party request is needed to render text.

None known on the pages in scope. That is a statement about what our review found, not a guarantee that nothing was missed. If we find or are told about something, we will plan to fix it.

The site is built to work with current versions of Chrome, Edge, Firefox, and Safari on desktop and mobile, together with the screen readers commonly paired with them. It should degrade gracefully in older browsers, but we do not test against browsers that no longer receive security updates.
